First we would like you to understand that we do not board and train full time. We both have full time careers and have our horses and train yours for the love of it. We both have 30 years of horse experience and enjoy putting it to good use and educating both horses and people. -Lisa and Jack Gerdon.
Jack and Lisa share a common philosophy and that is that each horse is an individual, but at the same time is still a horse. They have both spent their lives learning the art of communication, not how people communicate, but how horses communicate. Through that they can help your horse learn and you to learn your horse. In their own horses and others, they believe that often the most difficult horses to start will often be your best competition horses, you just have to be patient, firm and consistent.
Jack is origionally from the horse country of Northern Virginia, but has called the Carolinas home for the past 13 years. Jack is an accomplished team roper and calf roper. His main focus has been in the ranch aspect of horses. Focusing on Quarter Horses, Jack has focused and competed in calf roping and team roping. Jack has qualified for the Mid Atlantic Finals 4 times and is currently a Mounted Patrol member. Although many people will tell you that riding mares is difficult, Jacks quiet nature and patience has allowed him to have a special ability to work with and achieve great results with mares, including the love of his life “Lena”. Jack specializes in rehabbing horses that are sour in the pen/box and starting foals and young horses correctly. As a mounted patrol member, Jack understands how important it is to have a trusting and sane horse. To know more about Jack, click here More About Jack
